James Carville says Biden ‘knows he’s done’ running for re-election: ‘Most tragic figure in American politics’

Longtime Democratic strategist James Carville argued Thursday that President Biden’s “self-inflicted” political disasters have made the outgoing commander-in-chief “the most tragic figure” in modern American politics.

Carville, 80, suggested that Biden’s decision to launch a re-election campaign — and stay in the race until 3 1/2 months before Election Day — destroyed his legacy as well as another Democrat’s chance to retain control of the White House and forgive his son, Hunter, for it.Â

“The most tragic figure in American politics in my lifetime is President Biden,” Carville declared in a video published on YouTube.

“It’s all so self-inflicted” He knows he got up,” added the expert.

Carville, who rose to fame after running former President Bill Clinton’s successful campaign in 1992, argued that Biden’s downfall is a “huge shame” because he was not ousted for “bad policies.” and is “the most tolerant, loving, caring and open-minded person you can imagine”.

“And that’s what he’s dealing with,” he added.

Carville was alluding to criticism the president has received from fellow Democrats for pardoning Hunter, 54, who was facing prison time on federal gun and tax charges.

The strategist dismissed protests over the pardon, suggesting no one should believe the president when he and the White House repeatedly said Hunter would not be pardoned.

“Okay, so he said, ‘I would never forgive the child.’ my,” don’t pay attention to that, “because I think everybody lies about sex and everybody’s going to do what they’re going to do with their kids,” Carville explained.

In a video posted on YouTube, Democratic Party strategist James Carville said President Joe Biden is the most tragic figure in American politics in his lifetime.

“But the other scenario would be if he had said, in September of 2023, or August, that he’s not going to run” – God damn it, we would have won this election and it wouldn’t have been so close, because we would have so many terrifically talented people running,” he continued.

Carville claimed that Biden would be the “toast of Washington” and “preparing to go out on a high note” if he dropped out of the race sooner.

In this alternate reality, Carville argued that the incoming Democratic president “could have somehow gotten away with commuting whatever sentence Hunter Biden received” and that the outrage would have been “minimal.”

“It’s tragic, it’s sad,” Carville continued, speaking of Biden’s legacy. “It’s going to be six years before anyone comes back and talks about all the amazing things – the production he’s brought back, the amazing things he’s done.”

“What’s so sad, it didn’t have to be like this. He brought it all on himself,” he said.
